Competition rules

  • The competition is open to pianists of all nationalities
  • The age limit is 32
  • Pieces must be played from memory excepted for contemporary works*
  • Draw for audition times: 4th of June at 4:30 pm (Absence will lead to elimination)
  • Qualifying auditions: 5th and 6th June 2025
  • Final: 7th June 2025
  • Awards ceremony: 7th of June 2025 at 7:00 pm (candidates must attend in evening dress)
  • Audition dates and times are subject to change

Concert Pianist Program

Qualifying auditions 2026 *
maximum of 15 minutes

  • One Etude (excluding Debussy)
  • One movement of a sonata by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven or Schubert (which can be played again for the final audition).
  • A work by a French composer from the 19th century or later.

Final audition 2026 *
maximum of 45 minutes 

  • Competitors to present an open programme comprising a maximum of four pieces from different periods and aesthetics.
  • Pieces presented during the qualifying auditions may not be played again, except the classical sonata in its complete version.

The public is allowed to enter and leave between performances.
Silence is required during each audition.
